Since 1905, Agfinity has been committed to investing in the future of agriculture. One way we do this is through our Stalwart Agfinity Scholarship Program. Learn why we have this program and important details regarding this year’s application process.
The why
Lifelong Learning is a core value of the Cooperative, which is why the Stalwart Agfinity Scholarship program was established. We believe in positive impact, hard work, and the future of agriculture.
In 2021 we invested in 13 inspiring individuals. These passionate students are future veterinaries, agronomists, lawyers, farmers, criminal defense attorneys, ranchers, livestock nutritionists, industry storytellers, horticulturists, local and international ag advocates. More importantly, they will help shape the future of the ag industry and our world.
Agfinity is honored to be part of each of these students’ career journey. The thing is, we need more ag advocates, so as a local cooperative we are doing more. This means, more scholarship funds and more scholarship recipients.
Important program details
In 2022 we will be awarding 20 Stalwart Agfinity Scholarships in total. The scholarships will be awarded as follows:
- $10,000 x 1 recipient
- $5,000 x 5 recipients
- $1,000 x 14 recipients
Applicants must be attending or plan to attend an accredited four-year college, two-year technical school, or community college, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale during their previous educational year, and have a connection to the Cooperative – knowing family or family-friends who are part of our Cooperative meets this requirement.
Applicant must submit the two-part Stalwart Agfinity Scholarship application by Thursday, March 10, 2022, by 11:59 PM MST.
This includes:
- One essay of 1,000-word minimum and 1,500-word maximum answering the following prompt, “Tell us about yourself and your career goals”.
- And also, one YouTube video link of a 1-minute minimum and 2-minute maximum answering the following prompt, “How has Agriculture impacted your passion to pursue higher education and how will you continue to be an Ag Advocate throughout your career?”.
Additional application eligibility, prerequisites, application requirements can be found here. Completed applications are due Thursday, March 10, 2022, by 11:59 PM MST. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email by Thursday, April 6, 2022.
